I am a member the ABTT and have been looking at BECTU.
Whilst I was at university I was a founding member of the Students' Union Stage Society, and acted as its' treasurer for the first two years, as well as being more directly involved with many of its' productions. The society was run along broadly professional lines, except that we were all doing it for fun!
